My fast, reliable “almost one-click” way to get the colors I love—every time.


Why I Made This

Color grading used to slow me down more than anything else. Every project looked different depending on the lighting, lens, camera, or even just the time of day. I kept chasing a look I liked, but nothing was consistent—until I built The Go-To LUT.

This LUT gives me the exact style I reach for in almost all of my videos:
clean contrast, pleasing color, and natural-feeling skin tones that match my personal taste.

Sometimes it truly is one click, sometimes it’s the perfect base to build on—but it always gets me closer, faster.

How It Works

Adaptive Color Foundation

The Go-To LUT is designed to sit cleanly on top of well-exposed Rec.709 footage or properly converted LOG footage. It adapts easily to different lighting and scenes without crushing shadows or blowing out highlights.

Tone & Color Depth

It adds subtle richness and color separation, giving your footage depth without feeling overdone. The result: balanced color, crisp midtones, and a pleasing overall vibe.

Best Practices

  • Expose and white-balance properly for the best results.
  • Adjust intensity to taste—every camera responds differently.
  • Expect minimal tweaking for Rec.709 footage; LOG may need slight finishing touches.
  • For final control, adjust blacks and highlights last.
